AUTONOMOUS MECHANICS is a research-driven design studio operating across modes of creative work and practice. Using the framework of “lab” as a model for systemic innovation and iteration, it seeks to offer and operationalize speculative possibilities for space, place, body, structure, and biome.

led by Elæ Moss, designs and facilitates projects and programs for public and social intervention, including site-specific installation, curation, radical curriculum design and implementation, publication, and collective capacity building via scalable open-source tools and methods.
